The Eton Rifles Bio

Paul Carnaby has been the frontman of well-known Benidorm band Carnaby Street for the past 10 years and has gathered quite a following due to his larger than life onstage persona and what some might call ‘aggressive’ style.

Paul has a real passion for the music he plays which really comes across. There is a genuine, authentic quality to his performance and interaction with the crowd and absolutely no mistaking that he means every single bit of it…which is undoubtedly one of the reasons for his continued success. He however would attribute that success to what has been an extremely loyal fan-base over the years – Something he has always been grateful for.

It has been said many times that Paul channels the young Paul Weller better than Paul Weller himself could these days. No wonder then that he has been asked on many occasions to put together a Jam tribute band. He finally feels like right now is the time to do it.

Stefan Bujak has a natural aptitude and affinity with the Bass which is driven by a true love for music. He is into Soul, Motown and all things 60s and Mod, especially the original Vespa that he is very proud to own. He loves the energy, style and power of the original Jam and says that he could not possibly have missed out on the chance to be in next best thing ‘The Eton Rifles.’

Richard Cousins being the youngest member of the band wasn’t even around while The Jam were at the peak of their career. He was however brought up on them by his dad who was himself an original mod. He has been playing drums for 17 years and thrives off of playing songs by The Jam. He loves the fact that they produced such a variety of classic songs with varying tempos. Proud to be part of ‘The Eton Rifles’ he looks forward to seeing people rewind to their youth and rekindle their passion for the music.

Together the three capture a really unique chemistry onstage. High energy, passion, authenticity… It’s all there, not forgetting of course the music itself which is performed to an excellent standard. A must see for any Jam fan, The Eton Rifles are so close to the real thing in terms of energy and style that it’s just about as good as it gets!
